Privacy

Plain-English summary of how this site handles data — what we collect, what we don’t, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately short on jargon because most of it is genuinely simple: this is a static guide, not an account-based service.

What this site does not do

We don’t ask you to register, log in, or hand over a name, email or payment detail to read anything here. We don’t sell data, and we don’t run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or third-party marketing cookies of any kind.

Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies. Your theme preference (§“Local storage” below) uses browser local storage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to a server. If Google Analytics is configured (§“Analytics” below), Google may set its own first-party cookies to distinguish return visits; you can block or delete these at any time via your browser’s cookie settings, or by using a tracking/ad blocker — doing so does not affect any part of this site’s function.

Analytics

If analytics is configured, we use privacy-respecting Google Analytics 4 to count page views and record when the referral code is copied or a referral link is clicked (event names copy_referral_code and referral_click). Google processes this data as our analytics provider and may combine it with data collected elsewhere per its own privacy policy. We do not collect names, emails, or payment data, and we do not receive your raw IP address. If analytics is not configured, no analytics scripts load at all — this is not a toggle you have to opt out of, it is simply absent from the code.

Server / hosting logs

Like effectively any website, our hosting provider may record standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) for security and performance troubleshooting. We do not separately access or analyse this beyond what our host provides by default.

Referral links

When you click a referral link you leave this site for tesla.com; Tesla’s own privacy policy then applies. We don’t see your Tesla account, your order, or whether you completed a purchase.

Local storage

We store a single preference (your light/dark theme choice) in your browser’s local storage. Nothing else is stored there, and it never leaves your device.

Your choices and rights

You can browse this entire site with analytics blocked (via your browser or an extension) with zero loss of function — copying a referral code and opening a referral link both work regardless (master rule: tracking is never a dependency of the clipboard action, see the disclosure page). If you are in the UK or EU, you have the usual rights to ask what, if anything, is held about you; because we collect no identifying account data, in most cases there is simply nothing to return.

Children

This site is a general Tesla-buying reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this page

We may update this page as the site’s tooling changes. The “reviewed” date in the footer reflects when the site’s facts were last checked; if we materially change how data is handled, we’ll update the wording above rather than the figures.
