Is there a Tesla voucher code? Every myth, busted (2026)
If you expected a box to paste a “Tesla voucher code” into, this page is for you. Short answer: there is no coupon code for a Tesla car. Below, each common claim is set against what’s actually true in the UK in 2026 — and the one thing that genuinely saves you money.
The myths, one by one
Claim on the left (struck through — it’s not true); the honest correction on the right.
“You type a Tesla voucher code into a box at checkout to get money off a car.”
There is no voucher or coupon field on the Tesla car order page, and Tesla does not publish promo codes for vehicles. The only thing you “apply” is a referral link, and you do it by opening the link before you configure — not by typing anything.
“There are 20–50% off Tesla discount codes floating around online.”
Those percentages are, at best, Tesla Shop offers (merchandise and accessories) or are simply fabricated by coupon-aggregator sites. Treat any “X% off a Tesla car” claim as a red flag — no third party can discount the car itself.
“A UK referral gets you a free Full Self-Driving trial.”
Not in the UK. The UK benefit is 650 free Supercharging miles on a new Model 3 / Model Y. FSD (Supervised) is not available to buy or trial in the UK as of July 2026 (VCA review; expected late 2026 / early 2027); FSD (Supervised) moved to subscription-only in the UK from 21 May 2026. A free FSD trial is a US and Canadian perk, wrongly copied onto some UK pages.
“You can add a referral code after you’ve placed your order.”
No. The benefit is recognised at checkout only and cannot be added retroactively. If you build and order the car without opening a referral link first, you’ve missed it for that order.
“Using a referral link costs you money or raises your price.”
It’s free and it doesn’t change your price. The link just attaches an owner’s referral code so Tesla applies the Supercharging-miles benefit. You still order directly on tesla.com/en_gb.
“Model S, Model X and Cybertruck buyers get a referral perk in the UK too.”
They don’t. Model S/X were removed from the UK/EU referral programme (~June 2026); no new RHD custom orders, and the Cybertruck is not officially sold and not road-legal in the UK as of July 2026 — so it isn’t in the UK referral programme at all.
Where Tesla does have a voucher box
The confusion isn’t random. The Tesla Shop — merchandise, accessories, home chargers — has a genuine voucher-code field, and those codes are country-specific. That’s almost certainly the origin of the “Tesla has voucher codes” idea. It has nothing to do with buying a car.
So what actually saves you money?
One thing: a referral link (ts.la/<code>). Open it before you configure a new
Model 3 or Model Y and Tesla adds 650 free Supercharging miles to the order,
automatically. The full, sourced UK breakdown is on the
